Cairo, October 5, 2026: Taaleem Management Services (“Taaleem”) is proud to announce a record enrollment year for AY 2026/27. New enrollment reached 6,047 students* across its three operating universities, up 13% year-on-year (YoY), with intake quota utilization of 82%. Total student body grew 22% YoY to a record 19,037 students, and capacity utilization improved to 56%, reflecting continued demand and an expanding academic offering, with significant room for further growth. Operating faculties increased from 17 to 20. Management expects the record intake to contribute significantly to EBITDA growth relative to Taaleem’s historical average.
Medical education remains at the core of Taaleem’s portfolio, with medical students accounting for 60% of the total student body. By university, medical students represent 56% of NUB's student body, 78% of Badya's and 85% of Memphis's. Across Taaleem’s faculties of Medicine and Computer Science student base grew 27% YoY and 25% YoY respectively, reflecting strong demand for healthcare and technology disciplines and Taaleem’s ability to expand into high-growth fields.
Badya University, in its third year of operations, grew its new annual intake by 51% YoY and total student body by 98% YoY, driven by medical students which are up 78% YoY. Healthcare education remains a key pillar of its academic profile, supported by its affiliation with the University of Texas Medical Branch.
In AY 2026/27, Badya also launched its Faculty of Engineering, diversifying its offering beyond medical education.
Memphis University’s total student body grew 204% YoY, driven by the new Faculties of Engineering and Business Administration and continued expansion in medicine, where the student base rose 157% YoY, reflecting strong momentum across both established and newly introduced academic disciplines.
